Belly Dance
The Middle East is one of the oldest civilizations
in the world. Today we can witness and share in these
civilizations through Belly Dance.
Belly Dance has been done for thousands of years as
part of cultural traditions, fun and exercise.
Women of all shapes and sizes enjoy the courses offered
through the World of Dances. Each course is designed
for dancers of all levels, including those who have
no dance experience. Every level teaches specific
controlled movements that are used in Belly Dance. The first 2 levels of dancing at World of
Dance include a choreographed dance routine to show
students how to link individual movements together.
In later levels students learn ways of creating their
own dances. In addition participants learn history
and traditions of belly dance from dancing outside
after your chores, to American Cabaret for entertainment.
Adult Dress
Women –Middle Eastern Dance- Coin belt is needed
prior to first class and are available for purchase
from instructor. Circle skirt & veils will be
needed after week 6 (Ballet slippers, light weight
tennis shoes or jazz shoes.) Shoes are not required.

Hip Hop Belly Dance
Fusing
two electrifying dance movements together! Students will enjoy
learning both belly dance moves and hip hop moves in full
combinations and dramatic choreography. A unique teaching style that
is best signature at the World of Dances will quickly get you moving
around the dance floor.
Dance Fitness
Our Dance Fitness
classes are designed for everyone! Dance Fitness classes
incorporate dance movements of
belly dance, Spanish dances, Tribal, Yoga movements,
and Hip Hop Combinations.
Classes are fun, high energy and are very easy to
follow. Dance Fitness classes are low impact and easy on the
joints, but still provide a great core body workout!
Dance Fitness classes are held at the World of
Dances studio in Cuyahoga Falls and select
corporations in NE Ohio. The
benefits of bring this program in the work place is
to improve employee’s self esteem, stress relief,
improve energy level, creative thinking by movement,
healthy employee, happy employee
Zumba®
Zumba® fuses hypnotic latin rhythms and easy to
follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program
that will blow you away. Our goal is simple: We
want you to want to work out, to love working
out, to get hooked. Zumba® Fanatics achieve long
term benefits while experiencing an absolute
blast in one exhilarating hour of
caloric-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring
movements meant to engage and captivate for
life!
The routines feature interval training sessions
where fast and slow rhythms, and resistance
training are combined to tone and sculpt your
body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor
and international zest into the mix and you've
got Zumba®!
Tap
This class is for the beginner and intermediate student. Class focus
will be on developing tap technique through center and across the floor work,
various combinations and a full choreographed routine at the end. We will focus
on steps such as the basic shuffle, riff walks, running flaps, Irish's, front
and back essences, single buffaloes, drawbacks, chugs, basic cramp rolls, and a
number of other basic steps. Students may wear any brand or type of tap shoe
they like, however high heel tap shoes are not recommended.
Jazz
This class is designed for beginner to intermediate dancers, and focuses more on
the hip hop style of jazz dance. This class will build on the dancer's
technique and vocabulary through class combinations and floor work. Students
will also work on increasing flexibility. Dancers may wear any style of jazz
shoe, or may just wear socks for class.
Modern
The modern class is for more intermediate dancers with at least a minor
background in dance. Dancers will work on choreography, flexibility and fine
tuning their skills as dancers. Students may wear jazz or ballet shoes, "Dance
Paws" or anything similar, socks or no shoes at all.
Class Prices
Adult $45 per month. Classes are 50 minutes
long. Discounted prices available if you are taking
more than one class per week, or if your child is
also taking lessons.
